Thank You
My name is Nicholas Aaron Swaner,
I was born in 1993 on April 17th in Urbana, Illinois.
I am six foot, I weigh two-hundred eighty pounds.
I have brown hair and grey eyes.
I have one younger brother, Matthew,
and one parent, Jennifer.
Sometimes I write things.
In September of 2013 I lost my identity.
Now,
I’ve been Indian burned
and Native American zinged
and meds had been missed
with a mess at midnight;
I’ve had spilled pill bottles
jack-o-lantern orange
clatter past the doorhinge,
but never has that killed me.
Living in a house with shatterproof carpet,
frosted glass ceilings, blind window sills,
not knowing where the walls ar

Romancing the Romantic
apple wood in the hearth
he trails soft fingers
down my ribs
as i read poetry
clothed in nothing but firelight

Postcards
You send me
bits and pieces of your world
in too bright postcard pictures
with no return address
A world of plastic cutout landscapes
garish with artificial perfection
and scribbles of hurried platitudes
I wish you would come home
and stop holding who you are
at arms length

Hi there! I've chosen you as the 1st person for my 100 Comments Mini Project Challenge. Basically I'm giving comments to 100 different people in a time frame within a week
Aww, this is really sweet! It kinda reminds me of your first love in a way as that's when it's more passionate and spontaneous - plus the fact you feel that you're going to be with that person forever. I would say the message of this poem is that love does bring out the best of us, especially if you're with the right person. Good luck with the contest!
Happy Christmas!
